The Elementi fire pit is very easy to use. Simply push and turn the single knob, similar to many gas appliances, and hold it until the "pilot light" ignites. Once lit, continue to turn the knob to ignite the main burner. The ignition is battery-powered (one AAA battery included), easily accessible, and rarely needs replacement. After ignition, the flame and thus the heat output can be easily adjusted, always by turning the same knob, to achieve the desired heat output and flame effect. Turning the knob fully to the right will extinguish the flame.
